Description

UMI SHIO
Umi was born to happy family, his mother and father, Suki and Himura Shio were loving parents despite the fact they were slaves in the city of Zhentil Keep. When Umi was 2 yrs old, his father was kidnapped and imprisoned by Shinma Oni. Suki was left to raise their son alone and Umi became a bit of delinquent- stealing, getting into fights, and vandalising. Despite the hard years, Umi was very close to his mother, but also very lonely and begged for a brother for 8 years. And when he was told that maybe the gods might grant his prayer, he starting praying every night for a week... then his half-brother showed up on his doorstep! Umi couldn't believe the gods had answered his prayers and what's even better, the three of them got to leave the fould and dark city of Zhentil Keep for good. In the lush and green world of Rokugan, Umi was constantly dragging around his brother, exploring their new home and butting heads with the other kids. 2 years had passed and Eiko revealed to Umi that he was going to become a monk. Umi couldn't believe he was going to lose his brother and REFUSED to accept it. So when Phae Talla was passing through their town, he demanded that she show him where to find his brother. After an entire day had passed as well as multiple near death experiences, he memorized the path to the mountain monastery and tried to sneak up Eiko, but ended up crash landing on him. Lia was furious, but he didn't even noticed because he was so happy to see his brother again. This became a weekly ritual and over the next eight years, Umi began to realize that no matter happened in his life- becoming a sailor, having a girlfriend, etc- nothing, nothing made him more happy than to see his brother.
